St Luke's Fitness Celebration

The Dirt Dolls have decided to participate in this year's Fitness Celebration as a team. Please join us and feel free to invite any friends and family that may also want to walk with us. Currently we are registered in the Blue Wave so that as a team people can decide to jog or walk. We may have a few mom's that want to bring their children and walk in the strollers wave, so we may jump in that group if there is interest on that day. We may also decide to dress up, so if anyone has ideas feel free to offer them up.

Register at the link below, our team name is Dirt Dolls and the captain is Samantha Richards.

8/22 Pictures - Sidewinder

Wow - the heat! But even that couldn't stop us from taking on the sidewinder challenge. There was a wonderful breeze that saved the day and the downhill ride from the top of Sidewinder down through Kestrel was totally worth it. Great job ladies!

Tour De Fat

A few of us were able to volunteer some time at Tour de Fat this last Saturday. For anyone who hasn't had a chance to experience the festivities, definitely mark it on your calendars for next year! It was such a fantastic/fun event! The outfits were so creative and hilarious! We were glad to have the chance to help out! Thanks to everyone who came out either as a volunteer or a participant.

8/15 Ride - Eagle Bike Park

We will be meeting at the Eagle Bike Park this Monday and exploring some of the trails out there. Most of the trails they have are pretty mild and fun for riders at any level. Let's meet to be on the trails by 7:00.

Bring some food/snacks/drinks for yourself after the ride. There is a nice covered picnic area we like to take over. Also, we will be providing plastic cups for any cold adult beverages you may want to partake in afterwards.

Directions: From State Street, head North on "N Horseshoe Bend Road". This is the road just east of Highway 55 (right by WINCO). Stay on this road for a few miles and you will see the park to your right. You can also type in "Idaho Velodrome and Cycling Park" into mapquest to get directions. The park website is at http://eaglebikepark.org/visiting/maps/ which also has directions.

8/1 Pictures - Red Cliffs

8/8 Ride - Polecat

This Monday we will be riding the Polecat trail. This is a 5.75 mile loop with a decent mix of climbs and descents. It's not a very technical trail, just one of the longer ones we do. Since it is a little longer then some, let's plan on meeting to be on the trail by 6:30.

We will be stopping for a cold beverage and food at Harrison Hollow afterwards.

Hope to see everyone there!

Directions:
Option 1 - drive up bogus basin road and take a left at Simplot Hill. This should put you on Cartwright road. Continue to drive 3-5 miles (it feels like forever) and you will see the trailhead and dirt parking lot on your left.

Option 2 - Go up Pierce park road to the junction with Cartwright Road. Bear right on Cartwright and proceed to the trailhead on the right.
