5/2 Ride - Seaman's Gulch Loop

Quick Note - I will be out of town for this ride so please email Tesh (tesh.denton@hotmail.com) or Cacia (cacialee@yahoo.com) and let them know if you can make it on Monday.

The ride this week will be at Seaman's Gulch Loop. It is another wonderful short and sweet beginner ride which will help new riders get a taste for mountain biking as well as be another nice ride to ease everyone's biking legs into the season. Plan on arriving prior to 6:30 as they will start up the trail at that time.

Here is some information on the trail as well as directions:

Distance: Loop #1, 1 mile; Loop #2, 3 miles
Difficulty: Beginner
Tread: Singletrack
Vertical gain: 540 feet

Getting there: Follow Hill Road west of Boise past Gary Lane until you come to an intersection with Seaman’s Gulch Road and Hill Road Parkway. Bear right on the main paved road and follow signs to Hidden Springs. At .9 miles from this junction, turn right into a parking area and trailhead. The ride starts here.

Rained Out - New Ride 4/27

Bummer. It looks like mother nature is being grumpy today and we definitely don't want to advocate riding on muddy trails. We will be postponing our first ride until Wednesday 4/27 which is currently forecasted to be 61 and mostly sunny. Same time.....Same place.

First Season Ride - 4/25

EAGLE BIKE PARK

For our first ride we will start back where we ended last season - the Eagle Bike Park "Junkyard Trail". It is one of the easier rides that I know of - short and sweet - and will be a nice way to ease our biking legs back into it. It also has plenty of other fun biking things to do for those who are feeling super energetic that day.

Plan on arriving prior to 6:30 as we will start up the trail at that time.

Directions: From State Street, head North on "N Horseshoe Bend Road". This is the road just east of Highway 55 (right by WINCO). Stay on this road for a few miles and you will see the park to your right. You can also type in "Idaho Velodrome and Cycling Park" into mapquest to get directions. The park website is at http://eaglebikepark.org/visiting/maps/ which also has directions.

Bring some food/snacks/drinks for yourself after the ride. There is a nice covered picnic area we like to take over. Also, I will be providing plastic cups for any adult beverages you may want to partake in afterwards. ;)

Hope to see everyone there!
